Last year, I coached a client who was in a special situation, a Vietnamese client is living and working in Melbourne, Australia. He participated in the program Activating the Body’s Self-Healing Mechanism. He was suffering from chronic stomach problems and dyslipidemia, his triglycerides were higher than the safe level and his good cholesterol was lower than the safe level. If this dyslipidemia persists and increases, he will be at risk of atherosclerosis, heart attack, stroke, and fatty liver.
He joined the program in early March 2024 and within 4 months he practiced the right diet and healthy lifestyle as I advised and guided, then he went for a general health check-up and the result was great: he wasn’t dyslipidemic. His blood lipids improved significantly:
- Total Cholesterol: Decreased to a safer level.
- LDL (bad cholesterol): At a safe level.
- HDL (good cholesterol): Increased to a near safe level, helping to protect the heart.
- Triglycerides: Decreased to an optimal level.
These improvements show the body’s amazing ability to heal itself when given the right food and lifestyle. However, the real challenge comes later—maintaining these results.
After achieving this great result, his family member got sick and had to be hospitalized in Saigon, he returned to Saigon to take care of his family member who was in the hospital and he ate out not as I advised and during this time he also informed me that he temporarily stopped participating in the coaching program and he would continue when he was stable again.
More than 3 months later, he informed me that he could continue the coaching program, and in the coaching session afterwards, he told me that he wanted to have a health check-up again to get results of his current health status so that I could advise him on the exact time to practice it because the coaching program was about to end.
For each client’s health problem, I advise on the right diet to solve that problem and how long to practice, when the problem is solved, they will stop eating that way. Then I advise on the right diet to prevent that problem from happening again. It’s not a diet to solve a health problem you have, you have to eat that diet for life, it will cause imbalance.
In the last coaching session of the program, he sent me the results of his general health check-up and I was shocked because the results of his blood lipids had worsened than when he first started the program, so I had to recalculate and advised him on the time for him to continue to practice the right diet to cure his dyslipidemia.
His blood lipids had worsened in just 4 months:
- Total Cholesterol: Significantly increased beyond the safe level.
- LDL: Increased to the unsafe level
- HDL: Slightly decreased to the unsafe level.
- Triglyceride: Increased back to the unsafe level.
Here is a summary of his 3 blood lipid tests, the results before he joined the program, the results after 4 months of eating right and living a healthy lifestyle, his dyslipidemia was gone, and then the results after 4 months of not eating right and living a healthy lifestyle as I guided, his dyslipidemia returned.
This transformation proves that the right diet and lifestyle really work! But it also highlights a common challenge: long-term consistency. Our bodies are constantly responding to what we consume and how we live.
This case is a powerful reminder that temporary changes bring temporary results, but long-term commitment brings lasting health. While change can be difficult at first, small, sustainable habits—like meal planning, daily exercise, and mindful eating—can make maintaining optimal health a breeze.
Your health is in your hands. Whether you are struggling with dyslipidemia or simply want to improve your overall health, making the right daily choices about your diet and lifestyle can transform your health from the inside out.
